The U.S. is among several countries which have been accused of scooping up millions of masks at the expense of others, who are equally in need. Professor John Gong from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing told CGTN that the pandemic can lead to frenzied mask purchasing, and can cause medical supplies to become strategic resources.
