This year's Qingming Festival saw the suspension of on-site tomb-sweeping activities in many places across China due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic. However, cemetery workers are helping to sweep tombs for free on behalf of the families of the deceased. A cemetery in Taiyuan, capital of north China's Shanxi Province, has prepared 200,000 flowers and arranged over 200 staff to provide the complimentary service for 10,000 tombs.
