Recently, the Taipinggou National Nature Reserve in Hegang City, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, captured footage of a wild Siberian tiger with infrared cameras.
The staff at the reserve said they have captured substantial footage of big cats since March, 2018. And the staff have set up more infrared cameras in hopes the Siberian tiger will appear for better observation.

The Siberian tiger is a rare species with a wild population of fewer than 500 in the world. The wild population is only distributed among China, Russian and DPRK. It is listed under first-class state protection in China.
The Taipinggou National Nature Reserve is to the north of the Lesser Khingan Mountain Range, and is considered as an important gateway for animal migration between China and Russia. It is a key region for the restoration of wild Siberian tigers.
