New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said deaths from the coronavirus continue to climb steeply in New York, topping 1,500 by March 31.

Cuomo said that the projection models New York is looking at have the apex of the crisis hitting in between 7 and 21 days.

Cuomo also said it has become nearly impossible to buy the life saving ventilators that the state will need for the patients with the serious cases of COVID-19.
