Some devotees are convinced that walking for more than 50 km around Kailash Mountain can cleanse all their sins, and whoever completes 100 laps can go up to heaven and become a Buddha. During the Year of the Horse, like in the year 2014, one lap equals 12 in other years. Ciwang, a water deliveryman in Tibet, spent 20 days crawling mountainous paths some 5,700 meters above sea level.
