Expert: Preferential policies can allow banks, SMEs to catch breath

As the pandemic continues to take its toll on China's economy, small and medium-sized companies are struggling to pull through the difficult times. Qu Qiang, assistant director and research fellow from Renmin University's International Monetary Institute, tells CGTN that resuming production and stabilizing the job market are among the top priorities for China. Qu says favorable policies, such as lowering interest rates, rolled out by the Chinese central bank is helpful for commercial banks in the country, which could help small and medium-sized firms financially.
