Over 200 white storks have arrived at wetlands in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Tens of thousands of migratory birds, including over 200 white storks, have stopped at lakes across Inner Mongolia on their journey north to breeding grounds.

The stork is a large wading bird under first-class state protection in China. Their breeding grounds are usually located in the Russian Far East and northeast China.

The local forestry authorities have been stepping up efforts to crack down on wildlife poaching to ensure the safety of birds during their migration and offer protection to all wildlife.
