A midnight light show brightened up Wuhan's skyline Wednesday as the central Chinese city entered its first day post-lockdown. The display was a tribute to heroes in the battle against the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Wuhan, the Chinese city hardest hit by the novel coronavirus outbreak, started lifting outbound travel restrictions from Wednesday, after almost 11 weeks of lockdown to stem the spread of COVID-19.
