Guo Li, together with her family, has been in Milan, Italy for eight years. After the outbreak of COVID-19 in Italy in late February, Guo kept participating in the activities conducted by Chinese Youth Association in Milan to help people in Italy have access to more scientific knowledge of the virus, give masks to their neighbors and people on the street.

Guo and other Chinese volunteers, like her, act as translators during free online clinics and online lectures by the Chinese medical team in Italy. "Chinese in Italy have formed a close, united and small community to help each other and the Italians around us as much as we can," Guo said in her short videos posted on social media.
