Live: China's import and export performance in Q1 2020 revealed

China's State Council Information Office holds a press conference to give details on import and export performance in the first quarter. Speakers from the General Administration of Customs and the Department of Statistics & Analysis answer questions from the media.

Trade growth in the first two months of 2020 might slide due to disrupted logistics and delay in business activities, Li Xingqian, director of the Ministry of Commerce (MOC)'s foreign trade department, told an online press conference.

The ongoing novel coronavirus outbreak is likely to strain China's trade growth in the first quarter of this year, but its impact is manageable, a commerce official said in February.
