A 97-year-old woman became the oldest known survivor of COVID-19 in Brazil when she was wheeled out of the hospital on Sunday. The great-grandmother was hospitalized on April 1 with coronavirus symptoms, and the unexpected recovery has been a ray of hope in the country. As of April 12, Brazil has recorded 1,223 deaths and 22,169 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
