Cross-provincial and cross-border tourism in China are still not encouraged as the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases from overseas continues to rise in the country, according a recent notice issued by the leading group of the Communist Party of China Central Committee on the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

The eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang also announced Monday that to ensure the orderly reopening of tourist attractions, Zhejiang will continue to limit the flow of tourists to half of their daily capacity for a period of time.

Meanwhile, all the major tourist attractions in the province will provide online ticket bookings to prevent close contact among visitors. Tourists are required to present their "health code" to demonstrate their health condition when entering scenic areas, which will be disinfected.
