China released customs statistics on trade in the first quarter. The total value of China's imports and exports of goods topped 6.5 trillion yuan, as the return to work picked up. Imports were around 3.2 trillion yuan, down 0.7 percent. But the current import number is good considering the pandemic, because China has imported a great number of raw materials, and is buying agricultural products from other countries as well, said John Gong, professor from the University of International Business and Economics.
