Carrie Lam: 137.5 billion HK dollars requested to help contain COVID-19

Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Carrie Lam said at a weekly news briefing on Tuesday that the government is asking for a total of 137.5 billion Hong Kong dollars to help contain the spread of COVID-19. The request will be reviewed by the Legislative Council on Friday. As of Monday, the total number of confirmed cases in Hong Kong have exceeded 1,000 with 360 patients discharged from hospital.
