According to online recruiting site Zhaopin.com, the number of job postings and resume submissions fell substantially in China during the first quarter, and the competition among jobseekers is fierce. The company says its national talent competition index stood at 46.3 in the first quarter, which means that for each job vacancy there are 46 people on the waiting list. Research shows that the supply and demand for talent in some industries have been affected by COVID-19.
