Leishenshan, Wuhan's second temporary hospital for COVID-19 closes

Built in less than two weeks by 15,000 constructors, Leishenshan Hospital in the former coronavirus epicenter Wuhan started to admit patients on February 8. It was operated by a total of 3,202 medical staff with 16 medical teams from nine provincial-level regions, as well as 660 logistics personnel. The hospital received 2,011 COVID-19 patients over the past two months, among whom 1,078 were in a severe condition. A total of 1,918 patients have recovered. After discharging the last batch of patients, the hospital is set to shut down on April 15.
