Several Republic of Korea (ROK) government officials said on Tuesday morning that they have not confirmed any of the information regarding the health of Kim Jong Un, leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), after various U.S. media reported that Kim is now in "grave condition" after surgery.

Speculation was raised regarding Kim's well-being after his absence from the birthday of his late grandfather Kim Il Sung, founder of the country, on April 15. He was last seen on April 11 in a government meeting where he called for "strict measures" to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

ROK's official Yonhap News Agency reported later quoted unnamed government sources as saying there have been no unusual signs in regards to Kim's well-being.
