On April 22, a solar halo appeared over Huangshan city, east China's Anhui Province. 

The halo appeared at around 1 p.m. and lasted nearly half an hour.  

The solar halo is an optical phenomenon caused by the refraction or reflection of ice crystals when sunlight passes through cirrostratus clouds.
