A food bank in El Paso, Texas has seen mile-long lines of cars each day as the area feels the brunt of the COVID-19 pandemic.

More than 1,000 families have driven through a warehouse district to a makeshift drive-through staffed with National Guard soldiers.

Without making contact, the soldiers place bread and canned foods in the trunks or back seats of those cars.

The food bank warehouse is the center of food distribution in the county, distributing around 2.5 million pounds of food per week.

So far, El Paso County has reported 645 confirmed cases and ten deaths, according to the Texas Health and Human Services.
