On January 25, two days after the lockdown, a 27-year-old Zheng Nengliang drove from his home in Changsha City in neighboring Hunan Province to Wuhan as a volunteer. During the 66 days in the then coronavirus outbreak's epicenter in China, Zheng drove patients to the hospital, took medical staff to work, and helped transport the victims' bodies to local mortuaries, driving around 17,000 kilometers in total.
