Video footage of a lynx – a medium-sized wild cat – and a small pack of wolves was captured in a nature reserve in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
The lynx is an endangered animal on the Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature, and is under second-class state protection in China.
They inhabit high altitude forests with dense cover of shrubs, reeds and tall grass. The vast plateau in southwest China is a major habitat for the cat.
The rich biodiversity in Huolonggou Nature Reserve of Sichuan has also allowed big cats like snow leopards to survive.
