Kim Jong Un, the top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), sent a letter of thanks to workers who contributed to building a beach resort in the eastern port city Wonsan, the country's official newspaper Rodong Sinmun reported on Monday. 

Kim inspected the construction site at the Wonsan-Kalma coastal tourist area in May 2018. He called for building a world-class beach resort to make people enjoy "the highest civilization at the highest level."
