A rare geological landscape, a sinkhole lake, has been discovered in a scenic area in Yongding District, Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province. The karst landform lake has an heart shape covering about 200 square meters. 

Because of the dense forest and cliffs surrounding it, few set foot in the area, leaving the lake undisturbed by human activity. 

Aerial photos show the lake looks like a heart adorning the dense forest.
