Rainy season in Shangri-La falls from June to September each year. When the mist fades away after the rain, the dark green forest is succeeded by the reign of the primrose. As one of Yunnan's three best-known flowers, the primrose is a well-known highland plant. This isolated alpine region in northwestern Yunnan has exhibited a lively exuberance with the blossoms of the flowers.
