Two researchers said they have found no evidence to support accusations that China manipulated coronavirus data through a statistical fraud technique called Benford's Law, adding confirmed infections in China matched the expected distribution which is similar to that seen in the U.S. and Italy. They concluded that policy makers should trust the Chinese data. One of the authors is a researcher at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, and the other works at a business school under Oxford University.
