500 union activists gather for May Day in Lisbon amid global pandemic

In Lisbon, some 500 people gather to celebrate Labor Day on the lawn of the Alameda Esplanade, according to the organizers. Responding to an appeal from Portugal's main trade union confederation – the CGTP, the activists chanted and waved flags, while keeping a safe distance due to the coronavirus.
