The construction of 40 key projects for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics has sped up to make up for the lost time caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. The construction of 36 projects out of a total 76 has been completed, while the remaining 40 projects will be completed by late August. Zhangjiakou will host snowboarding, freestyle skiing, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, Nordic combined and biathlon competitions.
