Embedded in the North China Plain, the Hengshui Lake State-level Nature Reserve, located in Hebei Province, changed into its summer outfit recently.

With an area covering about 75 square kilometers, wetlands, meadows, lakes and mud flats form a complete system that provide numerous birds with safe habitats and rich food resources. Every year, thousands of migratory birds will rest and thrive here.

Currently, there are 329 types of birds living around the Hengshui Lake, providing a lively scenery for the summer.
