As shops and homes are closed at curfew, few people roam the streets. It's not new to the Iraqis. COVID-19 is the latest in a slew of tragedies that have hit Iraq – from Saddam Hussein's death squads of decades ago to more recent devastating international sanctions. It's uncertain how the Iraqi people will ride out this pandemic.
