At least 194 people have died and nearly 100,000 rendered homeless in Kenya due to incessant heavy rains in the past three weeks which have caused severe flooding across the country, local authorities said on Wednesday. 

An official said a number of dams are in danger of bursting, and the Kenyan government is urging people living in flood-prone areas to move as soon as possible and stay away from danger.
