A new study conducted by Chinese scientists suggests that the origin of COVID-19 could be traced back to both pangolins and bats. Experts say the new virus could have been created as a result of the regrouping of coronaviruses in these two animals. The research was jointly carried out by scientists from the South China Agricultural University and Guangzhou Zoo, who warn that if the wildlife trade isn't managed properly, the coronavirus existing in mammals will pose greater threats to human health in the near future.
