Busy season for heron love birds in SW China

A large number of herons are busy in mating and building nests for their upcoming chicks in Kaiyang County, Guizhou Province, southwest China.

Every year, these migrating birds continuously arrive in the forests of Kaiyang County around early spring. After spending several months breeding and raising newborn birds, they start their migration once again and fly away around mid-September.
