"We have a lot of truly excellent uniform designers in our country. And more top-tier designers have gotten into designing sportswear. I really expect them to provide excellent options. We also expect them to perfectly highlight our color system and core graphics," said Liu Cunzhen, Beijing 2022 Organizing Committee Culture Department Expert.

The proposals are also expected to prioritize nationality, artistry, and functionality.

"Uniforms are one of the most important elements of the Olympic imagery. They not only help identify our working staff, volunteers and technical officials but also make it more convenient for us to do our jobs," said Yan Cheng, Beijing 2022 Organizing Committee Human Resources Director.

"Through professional design of the uniform, we would like to enhance the cultural symbols of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. We also want the uniform to be easy to wear at the same time."

The uniforms also need to take into account the uniqueness of winter sports and the weather conditions in February and March in Beijing and Hubei Province.
