A Chinese pangolin was released into the wild by the staff of the forestry department of Jiangle County, southeastern China's Fujian Province. It was found at a school playground by two teachers. They contacted the forestry department and the police for help.

An investigation revealed the pangolin had lost its nest due to a storm the night before. Somehow, the "stray" animal wandered to the school. Later, the pangolin was returned to the Longxishan Nature Reserve next to the school.
