The Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River was enveloped in dreamy clouds after heavy rain on May 10.

The hydroelectric gravity dam, located in Yichang City in central China's Hubei Province, was built to prevent floods, generate electricity and make transportation in the area easier. It is one of China's modern construction marvels.
