An injured black-necked crane, a precious species under first-class state protection in China, was released back to wild on May 8 in southwest Sichuan Province.

The black-necked crane was found in Xiaojin County in Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, and was returned to wild in the Ruoergai Marshes National Nature Reserve, where its species stays from March to May during their northern migration.
