The construction of Beijing's Fengtai Railway Station started at the end of 2018. It's designed to accommodate 1,400 travelers, and allow 60 million visits every year, which would help to ease the burden of existing stations.
COVID-19 slowed down the progress at the beginning of work resumption. But as the pandemic comes under control in China and more workers are back from quarantine, the project is catching up with its plan. The project is now 30 percent complete and the final stage of construction is slated for August.
Reporter Lu Sirui is at the construction site to show you how the huge project will meet its deadline while taking care of more than 3,000 workers.
