A dwarf musk deer was caught on camera in Chongqing's Simianshan Nature Reserve. It is an endangered species under first-class state protection in China.

The infrared cameras installed in the nature reserve captured a clear footage of this rare animal for the first time. The dwarf musk deer is a timid animal that is only active at dawn and dusk. It is highly vigilant and would run away as soon as it catches any sound.
