Nuoertu Lake, located in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is known as a blue gem in the heat and dust of a vast desert.

As the temperature rises and evaporation increases, salt, alkali and other minerals have surfaced from the lake's bottom, creating a unique view.
