Seven crested ibis chicks turned a month old in the artificial breeding center of the Hanzhong Crested Ibis National Nature Reserve, where a total of 40 have hatched so far this year.

It is the first semi-wild training the seven ibis chicks will receive in their cage since coming out of the incubator, which helps prepare them for release into the wild in future.

Their food will gradually resemble that of adult birds.

A total of 230 crested ibis are currently being raised in the artificial breeding center, and the survival rate of chicks this year is higher than in previous years.
