A medical team of 20 experts from China traveled to Algeria to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. The team will stay in Algeria for at least two weeks. This Vlog series is about their work there. Our reporter He Weiwei and the CGTN crew will be by their side, bringing the latest about the mission and a closer look on people from China and Algeria working together against the virus.

On May 12, the Chinese medical team left for Algeria, but before that, CGTN visited a warehouse to see the resources the team will take there. On the evening of May 13, local authorities held a ceremony to say goodbye. 

A few hours before taking off, team members had a brief discussion about their work when they arrive at the destination.
