Thomas Derksen, an influencer from Germany who lives in Shanghai, was invited to a mass wedding ceremony during the May Day holiday. Ten pairs of members of a Shanghai medical aid team tied knot at the ceremony. Due to their mission in Wuhan during the peak of the coronavirus outbreak, some missed their planned wedding date and had to delay their wedding plans. They later came to the idea of joining in a mass wedding ceremony.
