4 killed in M5.0-earthquake in SW China's Zhaotong City

At least four people were killed and 23 injured after a magnitude-5.0 earthquake struck Zhaotong City in southwest China's Yunnan Province on Monday, according to local authorities.  

The quake took place at 5:58 a.m. BJT (2158 GMT) with a depth of eight kilometers, reported the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).  

Rescue and relief work are underway.
