Updated 2020.05.19 11:18 GMT+8

As the worldwide battle against COVID-19 goes on, China is still facing challenges. Shulan, a county-level city in northeast China's Jilin Province, on Monday imposed complete closed-off management for local residential communities with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases. Since the city experienced a new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 case on May 7, Shulan had reported 19 new local confirmed cases. A total of 535 close contacts of the cases in Shulan had been reported.

Prof. Wu Anhua, an expert on hospital infection control appointed by China's National Health Commission, joins the conference from the frontline in northeast China's Jilin Province and talks about the possibility of a second wave of infections.
