The CGTN Nature film crew captured a large group of wild Chinese merganser ducklings following a mother duck in the Toudaobai River in the Changbai Mountain.

The ducklings were just hatched a few days ago, but they are not from the same mother. Female Chinese mergansers occasionally "snatch" ducklings from other females, and the fiercest one will take all the ducklings with her.

The bereft ducklings will follow her and learn diving skills, which is crucial to catching fish.
