After nearly 30 million years of geological movements, the distinctive volcanic landform and intact forest ecosystems have formed, providing sanctuary for thousands of wild species.

Changbai Mountain in northeast China is named after its iconic, perpetually white snow-capped peaks. The 14-episode Changbai Mountain Series reveals a "natural museum," as it is one of the best-preserved forest ecosystems in the world.
