A medical advisory expert team from China held discussions with hospital administrators and medical personnel in Algiers, the capital of Algeria, on Tuesday to share China's experience of battling COVID-19. Hospital of Bab el-Oued is one of the main hospitals that receives and treats COVID-19 patients in Algeria. The Chinese expert team had previously visited the hospital on Saturday, but they said their second visit, which allowed them to have face-to-face conversations with their Algerian counterparts, helped massively in sharing their epidemic control experience.

At the invitation of the Algerian government, the Chinese team arrived in Algeria on May 14. During their 15-day stay in Algeria, the experts will carry out extensive exchanges with their Algerian counterparts on COVID-19 containment measures, clinical treatment techniques and laboratory testing.
