Thailand's Ministry of Culture gave the green light to film and television productions on Monday, as the country's lockdown measures gradually eased, but any close contact involved in love and fight scenes are still forbidden.

The ministry held a meeting with around 50 film producers and television channels to work out a feasible guideline for the industry amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Yupha Thawiwattanakit Bowon, deputy permanent secretary of the ministry, each film crew should limit the members to 50, and body temperatures of all need to be examined. The crew members will also need to check in and out their sites with COVID-19 tracing apps. Face masks are also necessary.

In order to reduce the risks of infection, the filming sites are required to be equipped with good ventilation facilities, and makeup rooms and dressing rooms should be separated.

Saff members on site are asked to keep social distancing even during the shooting. As a result, any shots that require close contact are still not possible.

According to the latest update of Johns Hopkins data, Thailand so far has 3,037 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with the death toll reaching 56.
