Chinese President Xi Jinping and other leaders mourned lives lost to COVID-19 on Thursday. They joined members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) to pay silent tribute to martyrs who died fighting COVID-19 and compatriots who lost their lives in the epidemic at the opening session of the 13th CPPCC.
