Flowers in the Nanjing Zhongshan Botanic Garden in east China's Jiangsu Province are in full bloom, offering city dwellers a chance to enjoy nature.
Across the country, there are over 140 botanic gardens, designed for different purposes, including scientific studies, plant species conservation, urban planning.
On a global scale, there are over 2,000 botanic gardens, preserving over 100,000 plant species, including about 15,000 endangered ones.
